Internal Company Training Program: WRJN and WEZY have an established and continual training program that helps newly hired or promoted supervisory personnel develop skills emphasizing the importance of workplace diversity and methods of ensuring equal opportunities and preventing discrimination in exercising their duties. Human Resources personnel attended this student event in Whitewater, WI. Several potential candidates were in attendance (both former and current UW grads), although our SEU had no current openings. WBA Job Fair – January 23, 2008. About 80 job seekers attended the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Job Fair in Madison, WI. Executive Vice President-Radio for Bliss Communications Robert Dailey was in attendance and spoke with prospective employees. WRJN and WEZY also ran promotional announcements encouraging interested applicants to attend. WBA Sponsored EEO Workshop – January 23, 2008.

WRJN and WEZY contribute to the WBA Student Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Foundation. WRJN and WEZY contributed $100 for the calendar year, 2007. Broadcast Student Internship – Fall Semester, 2007. Vice President and General Manager Tim Etes continued an internship with a Gateway Technical College Broadcast program student. This student also has a physical handicap and reasonable accommodations have been made to help her achieve her career goals. This internship was at the direction of Gateway broadcast instructor Dick Wieland. Etes, and Program Director Don Rosen also serve as Advisory Board members for the Gateway Broadcasting program, enabling them to interact with and offer guidance to faculty and students of the program. WRJN and WEZY also publicize their internship availability through the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association websites, student-faculty communiqu?s and publications. WBA Job Fair – June 18, 2008.
